The production control of cold-drawn seamless steel pipes is to improve the plasticity and toughness of steel pipes, improve the cleanliness of molten steel, reduce harmful inclusions and improve the overall quality of steel pipes. In the production process, reasonable cooling system is adopted to avoid internal cracks and improve the quality of cold-drawn seamless steel tube from many aspects. The heating temperature of cold-drawn seamless steel pipe is reasonably controlled in the production process, and the optimum heating temperature is selected by measuring the thermoplastic curve. In order to reduce the deformation resistance and improve the plastic toughness of 45# cold-drawn seamless steel tube, sufficient heat preservation time should be paid attention to when the tube billet is heated.
The last step is to reduce the roll speed. Roll speed is the key parameter of piercing process. In the process of changing the roll speed from low to high, there is a critical roll speed that begins to appear layered. When the roll speed is low, the billet is easy to form holes; when the roll speed is high, the billet and 45# cold-drawn seamless steel pipe are easy to form delamination defects. In order to eliminate the delamination defect of seamless steel tube for billet and 45# structure, the roll speed should be reduced to below the critical roll speed when delamination begins to occur.
