Errors in cold-drawn steel pipe production are within the allowable range. It is impossible to guarantee the quality of any product in production, as long as the error rate is minimized. Correcting the errors in pipe production and improving the quality of production have become a must for manufacturers to control. In cold-drawn steel tube forming, the sickle bending of steel strip will constantly change the forming angle, leading to the change of weld gap, resulting in slits, staggered edges and even lapped edges. The quality of steel pipe is seriously affected. Therefore, it is an effective way to reduce the wrong edge of steel strip sickle bending in the production process to observe the sickle bending after uncoiling, to control the vertical roll so that the disc shear can cut off part of the sickle bending and the continuous control and rectification of the forming angle. Because the shape and dimension accuracy of the non-trimmed steel strip head and tail are poor, it is easy to cause hard bending of the steel strip and cause staggered edges when butting. When the residual height of butt welding seam of steel strip head and tail is large, it is easy to cause large offset if improper treatment is taken during the process of forming. The poor edge condition of steel strip is another important reason for the wrong edge. Finding out what the problem is will be much easier to correct.
